Preparer Follow-Up Hub

Use TaxSlayer for the main interview. Come here for a missing fact, a conflicting answer, or a situation that needs more explanation.

These PDFs are optional supporting resources. The follow-up guide above is the primary workflow; no separate intake is required solely because a client has a dependent, household, or business.

Keep each business’s client files separate

These are shared blank templates. Send completed questionnaires only to the client’s own tax business through that business’s TaxesToGo app or secure portal. Do not upload client answers to this public hub or a training group.

Clients under your office follow your office’s assigned-preparer workflow. Businesses with their own EFINs use their own intake records and secure upload links.

These links open fillable PDFs, not online submission forms. On a phone, download the file and open it in an app that supports PDF forms. Save, close, and reopen before returning it. If fields do not work in a browser preview, use a PDF app such as Adobe Acrobat Reader.

Do not enter full SSNs, bank numbers, credentials, or IP PINs on these questionnaires. Send required identity and tax documents through the preparer’s secure document workflow.

TaxSlayer handoff: Review answers with source documents, enter the return in the software, then retain the completed intake with the client file. Uploading a questionnaire does not automatically populate a return.
